If you are unable to telephone school you can email attendance@sa.sapmat.org.uk and mark the email for the attention of the Attendance Team with your child’s full name, school site, year group and absence reason.
If your child has not arrived in school and absence has not been reported, we will notify you of your child’s absence in line with our first day absence process. If we are unable to reach you to understand the reason for your child’s absence, we may need to conduct a home visit to see your child. Home visits will generally be conducted where there is 3 days of absence but can be carried out sooner where safeguarding protocols apply. If contact is not made with parents/carer and pupil is not seen, we may escalate through safeguarding protocols and could request support from other agencies such as local policing teams.
